Techdo.com has a great article on how to disable that annoying popup message that constantly kicks you out of games, movies, etc. You can find the article in its entirety here.
There is of course, a simpler way than what they have portrayed. Simply go to start, run, and type in cmd. In the console type net stop wuauserv. You should get the following returns as shown in the friendly graphic just south of here.
with “net stop wuauserv†you have to run that command every time the Windows update message popup, after every update.
The higher value in minutes you set in Policy Editor, instead, is permanently saved in win registry
