All operating systems crash at some point, no matter how much their users would like to think otherwise. Windows, OSX, Linux, Unix, etc. - they all crash. It's about frequency. Also, I use Windows XP, and Ubuntu (on separate machines) and the Windows one doesn't crash anymore than the Ubuntu one. That's because I know how to not screw up my system.
