In the past month, my adsense income has increased from $2 a week, to about $5 per week. This was in due to a post that got dugg and sent upwards of 20,000 visitors that day here causing havok on the web server. Now that i get around 5 to 10 clicks per day, i see that earning go up and down each day.
One day, 1 click might earn me $2, and the next it will get me $.02. Why is this, why does this happen? Is it the actual ads that influence this? But why would it change so drastically from one day to the next? I think Google needs to do a better job of explaining these things, instead of leaving us in the dark.
Im seriously contemplating of dropping adsense, and using some other way to fund the webhosting. Do you guys know why this happends? Are there any other GOOD monetization options?

1Different ads are displayed, and you are payed a % of what the advertiser pays google to be listed. in more competitive markets (for example insurance), obviously competitors have to pay a lot more to be listed in the ad units (and the ads shown are suited to the content within the page). so you get a higher amount per click from that advert. likewise less competitive markets won’t require as much for companies to pay to get their ad there so you get a lower %.i’m pretty sure it explains this in their faqs.
