I read my fair share of forums. I play way too many online video games, more than I really should. So the one thing that stands out is the phrase/term ‘STFU’. Why do people still use this?

I know this type of abbreviated talk is still kind of young, but these specific four letters give me the impression of a 12yr old arguing something, getting beat, and they telling everyone to “shut the fuck up”, but in their own, 12yr old kind of way.

So please geeks/nerds/and general folk alike, stop using this term. It only makes you look stupider than you really are. So stop it. Stop it now.
