I have a feeling many overly enthusiastic Vista users will feel like the guy in the cartoon up top. Vista releasing today means two things. We get a new operating system, and we get more vulnerabilities. These two usually come hand in hand, but this time, its special. This latest copy of Windows is being touted like nothing else to the general public. The man himself, Bill Gates gets treated like a rock star in some countries.
The wide range of marketing and advertising for this piece of software is outstanding to say the least. So, the faster the operating system spreads, the more vulnerable computers are out there. I would suggest you wait at least three or six months before chaing over from XP. XP is a great operating system (after sp2) and will continue to be for years to come.

3Steve -
Mac users need to come to terms that the general population will be using windows based operating system for at least the next decade or so. Its not that apple is doing something wrong, but that Microsoft just has the upper hand here.
Same goes with linux.

4upper hand?
lol…in sales and quantity yes…but who cares about that? does it affect your pocketbook? Are you happy that you spend crap loads of money of buggy software and OS’s?
I for one prefer to spend my money of things I know will work they way they are supposed to…the first time.
I used to use PC’s..i still have to for work…but my money goes to Apple. They actually think like a user…
Once I switched over to MACs..there no looking back…
I highly suggest you try it..even for a week…you wont go back either…unless you enjoy a crashed computers.
ps. I read an article today about a security leak on Vista…ALREADY!!!…it has to do with the speech recognition…someone could actually erase parts of your computer just by saying it…
scary !
