Will it be a cheap kind of gold, or a very expensive 24kt gold..

Vista goes ‘Gold’ tomorrow. What does this mean? This mean that the software is ready to be mass produced. Typically this is 2 to 3 weeks before release. Why the term ‘Gold’? Well, recording industries used to make the master copy out of gold. Thats right.. they made a copy of the disc/record in gold.

Anyway, I’m glad that Vista is ready to be shipped, but I still feel used and abused about Microsoft charging so much for a few million lines of code. There are so many version out there to choose. Some that will undoubtedly feel like they were stripped of so many features, that it will force users to upgrade to the even more expensive versions.

As for me, i will be sticking with XP for the time being. I see no need to update to an OS that will more than likely be buggy, have holes larger than Pamela Anderson, and will cost an arm, a leg, and your first newborn.
