One of my favorite sites had an interesting article on pay per post websites. These site pay bloggers to review products and get paid. While this may sound like a great idea, it is not.
Usually, these “reviews” are biased to the point of it being ridiculous. Pay per post sites are a skid mark on the web, and its really annoying browsing through the biased reviews, to get to a quality review. These sites have not purpose but to promote products for gain. These sites are just a huge advertising scheme.

1Do you have any facts to support that it’s ‘more biased’ than ‘normal’ blogging, or are you just basing this off the Techcrunch article?

2Hi annelions, thanks for the response. While my observations were based on the Tech Crunch article, i have tried signing up to sites that used a Pay Per Post method.
The one I did sign up for, though I wont mention any names, did specifically instruct me to include more “pros” than “cons”
To me, this means that the review is biased. Im pretty sure not all of these sites are like this, but in my experience (although brief) they have been.

3Not all websites/companies are created equal. PayPerPost has many, many ‘neutral’ offers (which are allowed to be negative, if that’s how you feel). Also, you’re allowed to pick and choose if you want to review something or not, if you don’t want to give a positive review, you don’t have to take the offer.
If you’re genuinely curious, I strongly suggest you visit http://boards.payperpost.com/ where the community of posties & PPP staff are happy to answer any questions.
