Now Here Is Something Amazing!

My jaw almost hit the floor when I came across this one. I really thought it was some kind of hoax at first but it became clear really fast that it wasn’t. This is a story about two men, Jason Lewis and Steve Smith and journey they took around the world. Not such a big deal you say? Nah, not really lots of people travel and see the world right? A lot of us make it overseas after high school graduation or during college. Backpack through Europe, etc, etc…

Well, these guys did something similar (I guess), their trip started in July of 1994. The difference? Well this trip is just ending! Why did it take so long? Well this was a trip around the world using only human power the entire way? Think I am kidding? This absolutely true. The trip was completed on October 7, 2007 a mere 13 years after it began. This is unbelievable. The entire trip is documented here make sure you check it out. It is really an inspiring story.

It really makes you admire what the human body is really capable of when you put your mind to something. Can you imagine a journey that lasted that long. I am still in awe of events like marathons and the Iron Man Triathlon, this expedition is just blowing my mind.  I wonder how these guys would do on Survivor?
