It seems odd to me that users who have an account with google for their adsense ads, can’t change their adsense account email to a gmail account address. I tried to change my account email, but this is what I got from Susan at the Google Adsense department.

Technically, you can change it. But this involves creating submitting an application, having said application approved, creating anew account, changing out all of the adsense codes in your site(s). I never really did get a straight answer from Google.

Is it a technical issue or something more? Just seems like way too many roadblocks to just change a simple email. Have any of you guys done this?
