How Much Is a Million Really?

In todays day and age it seems like everyone is millionaire.  Every game show offers at least a million dollars as a prize now and people aren’t all that impressed with it anymore.  I remember when I was a kid thinking a million was the most that you could have of anything.  Anymore that a million and it was just made up.

Have you ever stopped to think what the number 1 million represents?  Well here is a picture that will help you.  The students in New York City raised and displayed $1Million dollars in pennies!  That’s right, one hundred million pennies.  This picture is really astonishing to me and it amazes me at how we take for granted the magnitude of numbers.
