Those of you that read StopGeek on a regular basis probably remember the story that I blogged about in regards to the little girl that was harassed for doing chalk graffiti in her neighborhood.
Well I was just sent some more graffiti via the tip line and all I can say is “WOW”!
According to the email that was sent to me about this graffiti
there is a huge rock near a gravel pit on highway 25 in rural Iowa. For generations, kids have painted slogans, names, and obscenities on this rock, changing its character many times.
A few months back, the rock received its latest paint job and since then has been left completely undisturbed.
Kudos to Ray “Bubba” Sorensen, as credited in the email I received and pictured below with his creation.
It is nice to see something that has been an eye sore in a community become something that they apparently value. Such a different reaction than the little girl that I blogged about previously. I wonder if she would have been bothered by her city officials and threatened with a fine if her stick figures had been in support of the troops and the war on terror?
Make sure you click here to see the rest of the pictures of this amazing piece of work.
