The Consumerist had a ’sting’ operation where they sent a computer to Geek Squad in for repair. They installed a program where once the computer is turned on, the program starts recording everything. Well, needless to say, the tech copied some of the porn on the harddrive.

OMG they in my computarz, taking ma’ porn! Ugh! Give me a break. When is this news? Who doesn’t know that all techs snoop around a customers computer? Curiosity is a strong trait in a person. Of course they are going to go looking! I actually prefer the snoop and look from techs because that might lead to prosecuting dirtbags with illegal pornography. Now, they did take the pictures without permission, thats inexcusable, but come on. Dont leave it there in the first place!

A smart geek knows to stash it away in C:/Windows/System32/drivers/Zomg Teh Pron/ . I wrote a post on this a few months ago, you can get some ideas on avoiding this altogether. As much as I hate Geek Squad, The Consumerist is the worst of the two evils here. Seems like they are just trying to attract some attention/visitors?
