If the problems of spy and adware in Battlefield 2142 weren’t enough, it has come to light that EA’s online service for the game Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 07 is complete and utter shit. How?
It seems they have imposed a 50 person cap limit on their servers. Yep, fifty, as in 5-0. Only 50 people can play at any one time online. Out of the 6 billion possible players, only 50 can play online. Surely, EA has a good reason for a 50 man server.. No, not really, its EA remember?
Is it really costly to host a server for so many people? Not really. A 40 slot Counter-Strike server costs about $80usd, keep in mind thats a first person shooter game. This is golf! How resource intensive can a golf game be?!
EA just needs to stop being assholes and pony up the dough for more servers. Or maybe 50 slots are fine, since it is an EA game, and probably didn’t sell to well.

26 billion being the possible players, which in turn means the entire world population. theoretically, everyone in the world could play the game. ofcourse, not everyone will have a copy.

3I”m sorta framiliar with EA my son plays UO. apparently their GM’s don’t do a great job on the rules and just plain Good sportsmanship. Alot of the players tend to call other players names and get away with it!!! Plus they use devices to cheat and never get caught at it. My son is called a newbie after he has been playin for 20years + He is told by other players to quit and kill himself. How can EA permit such things to happen? They ought to be held accountable for any acts done because of their players acting like immature children. Or they will find themself in court or better yet; The EA will be out of business legally
