Recently, Dr. Phil accused video games of being the catalyst of the Virginia school shootings. This, was later found to be false. The shooter didn’t even own any video games. Heres a little letter I sent his way.
Recently you stated the the shootings at Virginia Tech were in part caused by violent video games. Well, it has come to light the the shooter did not even own any video games.
Why are you so quick to point blame at an industry you do not understand? Your ignorance in this matter maybe not have dire consequences, but your reach to the general public can not be ignored.
With that being said, ask yourself. How many school shootings have we had in the US since 2000. How many? Now, how many young adults are exposed to ‘violent’ video games? Millions. You do the math.
Does a Psychology major include any statistical courses by any chance? Please stick to your general area of spousal abuse and treating phobias. In my opinion (learn those words Dr. Phil), you are not qualified to include video games in your diagnosis of this type of behavior.
What happened to someone just being completely disturbed and mentally ill? Why does everyone have to blame something else? Video games, movies, music are just entertainment. Thats it. Nothing else.
I hope he gets this and sends me a response. Response will be posted if received.

Like most ‘professionals’ on TV. They are always the worst in their field.
