What’s going on over a Google these days?

First we have gone the longest time ever without a new PR update which has webmasters all over the internet scratching their heads. We have obvious anomalies being reported about how pages are being indexed.

And now we the second major security vulnerable in Google services this week!

Security researcher Petko Petkov has revealed a cross-site request forgery vulnerability in Gmail that makes it possible for a malicious web site to surreptitiously add a filter to a user’s Gmail account that forwards e-mail to a third-party address.

I am sure that Google is on top of all of these issues and it is near impossible to anticipate every kind of vulnerability, but coming from a development background you have to wonder. How many times have you seen companies push out software just to meet a schedule, knowing there are problems? hmmmmm… sound familiar? :)

There is a great article HERE as well as a link to a full explanation from the Petkov.
