   Of course we know LSD is bad. This is how we know that now. The video is from the 1950’s. Hell, they even let spiders build webs on acid back then just to see what happened.

   you guys are idiots. “this is how we now know its bad for you” number one its a cat, its psyche is completely different from that of a human. they also probly gave it a human’s dose. LSD is strong in very low doses compared to a lot of drugs. BEing the 50’s they probably gave it waaay too much for the cats size.

   you could never try and guess whats going to happen to you on LSD by watching this video, our brains are so much more complex than a cats, thats why we have a much larger mental capacity to deal with more abstract things

   sure this is cruel, thats obvious, but its bullshit propaganda like this why people dont stand up when our rights are being taken away. when your on LSD the chance that your going to harm someone else is very low if u follow the simplest of common sense “ok, im about to temporarily warp my brain, maybe i shuddnt get behind the wheel of a car” and when ur on lsd u have no intention of even doin such things

   try doing some real research on drugs instead of buying into some biased bullshit put out by DARE. try erowid.org

    Mike said it right. And if you guys bashing LSD knew a thing or two you would also know that 1) many of these tests (performed by the government or otherwise) were often later totally disregarded for any scientific information because it was found that the drugs administered to the animals in many of these experiments were cut with amphetamine and other illicit psychoactive substances besides LSD. and 2) recent research shows that pure LSD is among the safest psychedelics a safe and mentally stable person can ingest.

    LSD isn’t a mescaline analogue, mescaline being a phenethylamine, and LSD being a tryptamine as it is… Anyhow, I guess it’s sort of interesting that it works on a cat.

Most of the people I have met that use psychedelic drugs do have relationships and have plenty of things to do other than bash people online for things they don’t understand.     I tripped on LSD a few weeks ago for the first time and it was awesome. Actually at one point of my trip I was the happiest that I have ever been in my life. Seriously, if your mind can take it, LSD can be a beautiful thing.

    Wow, I’ve never seen an animal bend/flex their body that way. LSD does many wild/crazy things. Amazing drug if you can handle it. I think it was a little much to give it to a cat, or any animal for that matter, that can’t comprehend abstract thought… also a waste of perfectly good acid =b.

    but one pill is fine….and effective as a drug

    and anyone who sez lsd is “BAD” has know idea what it does and
    how it affects reality

    potentially the most underated…abused…and suppressed drug known to man

    The video is fake. Cats dont show much of a reaction to real LSD at any dose. You can see the cat move backwards without its legs. Fake video.

    Sam you’re wrong, cats DO show reactions to LSD. They get totally freaked out and very scared. These tests are real.. To give acid to any animal is extremely cruel. Animals have no way of understanding what the hell is happening to them. People who do this are sick, pathetic and ignorant or just plain evil… I wish that people would stop treating animals as if their life ment nothing.. They are our fellow inhabitants on this planet and should be treated with respect and love..

    Btw, be careful you guys…you’re playing with the best and most importent “tool” you have, your brain.. Take care all :O)

    What do you mean that “LSD is bad”? How is LSD bad? LSD is not known to cause any permanent damage. Many millions of people have taken LSD without seriously affecting their lives.

    Please do a little research before making absolutely retarded and uninformed generalizations like “LSD is bad.”

    Whoever said that cats don’t show much reaction to LSD has no fucking clue what they’re talking about. Check out Albert Hofmann’s “My Problem Child.” Cats will hiss at inanimate objects while on LSD. It’s thought that cats experience hallucinations. Please stop being stupid.

    Seriously, LSD is one of the farthest things from bad. There’s been online 2 reported cases of LSD causing death, one case in which the LSD was mistaken for speed, and another which doesn’t have enough evidence to point that LSD was the cause.

    People need to stop thinking so poorly of the drugs that define their every day lives. The DNA helix was discovered while on LSD, many of our most famous books and movies were inspired by LSD, and most of all almost every type of music is influenced by LSD in one way or another.
    If people had more open minds and weren’t so easily confused by what they see on TV (weed makes me accidentally shoot my friends all the time!!), we could all be in a better place right now.

    I heard that they gave the cat some insane dosage (even for huma) They waited 2 days before they killed it because its nervous sysem never really “clicked” back on.

    Ok the other night… we gave the cat, about a tenth of a hit of lsd. seriously! at first she was just really tripped out by the visuals we, my girlfriend and I where making with my computer. then she wanted to go out side. it was snowing with snow plows up and down our street so we decided against it. After she came up a bit more, she just purred non stop and get this was the most awesome affectionate thing ever!! the next day she was a bit tired and didn’t have the ill temperament she normally had with our dogs. usually she scratches at there faces and hisses when they try to play with her, and now she just walks off with her tail up at them knowing there just being too playful. when we thought she was getting confused in my room pawing at the windows wanting to go out side, we moved her to the top floor where she spends most of her time. she chilled right out, I guess it was a familiar environment… right now she is a perfectly healthy cat purring at my feet. she still cleans her self, she still uses the litter box, she gives me no concern about leaving the house ever. she still does all the cat things she’s been known to do. I would never have given her a full hit, she’s way to small for that. we took about 7 hits each that night and her only a tenth of a hit. we all had a great time and are still not addicted to it. we still have jobs, we still have a roof over our heads and we aren’t insane. in fact I had an IQ test once saying I’m over 140. they had to stop when I was messing with the examiner. LSD is a therapeutic drug. you had to take it in a laboratory you may feel nuts when they say they wont let you leave. scientist do some weird things, look up nuclear veterans and tell me some scientists aren’t cruel morons, telling enlisted troops to walk into mushroom clouds keeping the officers miles away from the radiation.

    MY CAT TRIED LSD AND IS FINE

    further, I do think animals have abstract thoughts, but I think they handle things way differently… I also fully believe the stoned ape theory. Look up the PINEAL gland. why did cave men have glads the size of grape fruit, wile ours are the size of olives?
