Bob Spongee = Spongebob Square Pants?

What seems to be a ploy at a get rich quick suit, a Fairfield man claims he was ripped off with his character, Bob Spongee.

Take a look at the image and compare that, between the gap toothed sponge we know as Sponge Bob. The only resemblance is the name. And im almost 100% sure any variation of the name ‘Bob’ and ‘Sponge’ were not trademarked.
