The price change depended on how much you used the free rents. If you had the 3 at a time w/coupon @ 17.99 but you hardly ever traded them out they are making money off of you. They see you as a customer that wasn't coming into the store (0 money to be made). Now, if like me you were turning them in twice a week thats a high turn over and they are now losing money (cost of mailing disks, the disks themselves etc etc) they upped your price. Mine went up the first week they started the price change. There are still people out there paying a the low price and people that still get the coupon as well. It all depends one when you signed up and how much you used it. If you have a good deal now, don't change it cause you'll never get it back. If you've been told you have to pay the extra price you're still going to save money if you are turning them over that much but yeah...it sucks that they changed the price and for most people they didn't even give fair warning to.
