There is a difference you know. I’ve seen people label themselves web programmers, and I ask them to see some of their work. They who me a screenshot of their code and tell me how they took the time to structure it right, how they used css instead of tables.
Web designing and coding are two totally different things. Although i can see how someone ignorant to the web scene can confuse the two, but geeks who actually do this for a living or as a hobby should’nt really fall under this ignorant category.
Web designing is just that. Designing a web page. If you are a web designer, your job is to make the website look pretty. Your job is to design the site to function the way it is to function and make sure it does what its supposed to do.
A web coder, believe it or not, codes the site. He does the ‘ugly’ stuff. Hes the behind the scenes guy. He makes sures the gears and turning and bolts are bolted. See the difference?
