Another Optical Illusion

I have been looking for another good optical illusion since the “moving” images from the Stress Test post. It just fascinates me how the mind can be tricked to see something that “isn’t really there”. Makes you wonder a lot of things about how we perceive the reality around us. I wonder how the techniques in these types of pictures are used by magicians like Criss Angel to pull off the stunts that they perform. I would imagine that the same sort of “mind trick” could be played out in person.

Anyway, I just love this one. Take a look at the picture below, Mr. Angry is on the left and Ms. Calm is on the right. See it? Ok, now get up from your seat and move back about 12 feet.

Did they switch places?  I know this must be pretty simple and obvious trick to most of us, but it really does make you wonder what could be pulled off if these types of techniques were applied to bigger things.
